Mark Allen Jones, Head Chef at Down Hall Country House Hotel has worked for some of the best restaurants in the United Kingdom and his passion and drive have led him to oversee the opening of The Grill Room at Down Hall in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire.

Mark’s traditional brasserie menu changes seasonally and uses some of the freshest local ingredients – soon to include Down Hall’s recently developed vegetable garden.

Some of Mark’s exquisite dishes include Thai herb salmon and crab cakes with oriental vegetables, lemongrass, chilli and coriander sauce; duck breast with butternut squash, ginger gnocchi and raspberry vinaigrette. A selection of grills are also available from the menu.
