As part of your special day, you may choose to host a traditional chuppah ceremony—an elegant canopy symbolising the new home you’re building together. The bride is often escorted beneath this canopy in a meaningful badeken (veiling) ritual, highlighting modesty and inner beauty.
Together under the chuppah, your vow exchange, the signing and reading of the ketubah, and the recitation of the Sheva Brachot (seven blessings) take place, often accompanied by a ceremonial sip of wine from a Kiddush cup. The ceremony typically ends with the groom breaking a glass—symbolising both hope and remembrance—with guests often calling out “Mazel tov!” to mark the joyous moment.
Afterward, many couples share a private yichud—a few peaceful moments together—before moving on to your celebratory reception filled with heartfelt blessings, music and dance.
